Help with logging, editing, exporting, and protecting your driving records.
Drive Hours helps learners record supervised driving practice on iPhone and iPad. The current version is 1.0 and requires iOS 18 or later.
Contact support
For a bug report, product question, feedback, or feature request, email business@maxicato.com with "Drive Hours Support" in the subject line.
Please include your app version, iOS version, device model, and a short description of what happened. Do not send private driving-log details unless they are necessary to explain the issue.
Set a default supervisor
After the welcome screen, Drive Hours asks for the licensed supervisor you usually drive with. The name is required and the relationship is optional. You can change this default later in Settings. Each saved drive keeps the supervisor details that were active when the drive began.
Use the stopwatch
Before the vehicle moves, choose Log a Drive. The stopwatch counts upward from zero. After you are safely parked, choose Stop to save the drive automatically. Stopwatch sessions are saved to the nearest whole minute, with a one-minute minimum.
Locking the phone or briefly leaving the app does not pause the stopwatch. An active session is stored locally so the app can restore it after an interruption. If continuity cannot be verified after a device restart or clock change, Drive Hours saves a clearly marked one-minute placeholder and asks you to correct it in History.
Stopwatch drives begin with zero night minutes. Use History after the drive to enter the correct night portion. Night-driving time cannot exceed the total duration.
If a save fails, Drive Hours retains the same stopped session so you can try again without creating a duplicate.
Add a drive manually
Use the plus button in the top-right corner to enter a drive manually or add one retrospectively. Choose today or an earlier date, enter the total and night durations, confirm the licensed supervisor, then save.
Edit or delete a drive
Open a drive from History to correct it. Swipe a History row to delete that drive. To remove every saved drive, use Delete all drives in Settings.
Export your log
Open History and choose Export Log. PDF is intended for printing and signatures. CSV is intended for spreadsheet review. You choose where the exported file is saved or shared.
Back up your records
Drive Hours stores records locally and does not provide its own cloud-sync or recovery service. Your iOS device backup may include app data, depending on your backup settings. Export important logs regularly and keep a copy somewhere you control.
Licensing requirements
Licensing requirements and accepted forms vary by jurisdiction. Confirm required hours, categories, signatures, supervisor qualifications, and submission formats with your licensing agency. Drive Hours does not replace official permit paperwork or legal guidance.
